Join Locust Projects for a special "demo day" edition of Locust Late @The DiLL as we celebrate and showcase the cutting-edge work of student artists from Florida International University’s Advanced 3D Animation Program. Explore a series of new 3D virtual (VR) and augmented reality (AR) experiences created in collaboration between Locust Projects and FIU with Prof. Ariel Robbins-Baron, and meet the student artists behind the work.
Linger late for a special ensemble performance by visiting Korean haegeum performer Jeonghyeon Joo, experimental LA-based trumpeter and producer Ethan Marks, and The Misty Shore Duo, featuring compositions by pianist Chen-Hui Jen alongside Dr. Jacob D. Sudol, Associate Professor of Music Technology and Composition and Director of FLEA Ensemble at FIU. Presented in various solo, duo, and group configurations, this one-night-only program convenes artists and musicians whose practices span traditional instrumentation, contemporary composition, improvisation, and real-time electronic sound processing.
