Join Locust Projects for a lunch and conversation on notions of freedom between Claire Breukel and Carolina Alvarez-Mathies with a Skyped introduction by the curator Patricio Majano. Locust Projects members receive priority access and complimentary admission to Lunchtime at Locust featuring Harry’s Pizza. $20 for nonmembers. Members are free. Space is limited. Borders of Freedom will be presented on a rotating loop in The Screening Room on Saturdays from 11am to 5pm from September 14 to October 12, 2019. Admission is free. Borders of Freedom features six artists living in El Salvador and its diaspora, whose work addresses the concept of freedom from different perspectives, connecting it with intimacy, spirituality, gender, migration and sociopolitical context.

Join Locust Projects for a closing weekend performance by dancer and choreographer Ivonne Batanero presented in a special collaboration with Miami Light Project.
Presenting a progressive evening kicking off with happy hour at 6pm followed by a conversation with the members of FeCuOp moderated by Lorie Mertes on the evolution of FeCuOp and artist collectives in Miami that were formed in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
After the talk, Miami Light Project presents a performance by dancer/choreographer Ivonne Batenero presented in collaboration with FeCuOp and inspired by the Antenna installation.
FeCuOp then presents a special guest performance by mezzo-soprano Amanda Crider using the Antenna as instrument.
