On Saturday, November 16, 2019, Locust Projects will host a 21st Anniversary Benefit Dinner honoring Craig Robins and celebrating the artist Trenton Doyle Hancock and his new project at Locust Projects.
This special art-inspired gathering of friends recognizes Craig Robins’ visionary contributions to Miami’s art and design community and specifically the role he has played in Locust Project’s history, and celebrates an exciting new installation by Houston-based artist Trenton Doyle Hancock.
Held at Locust Projects, guests will enjoy a private preview, opportunity to meet the artist over cocktails in Hancock’s storefront “toy store” and an intimate and unique feast in the Main Gallery surrounding Hancock’s Mound #1, (aka The Legend)—the chief protagonist in the artist’s singular epic mythological narrative that has informed his work since 1997. This will be the artist’s first project since opening his massive installation at MassMoCA earlier this spring.
