Ruben Torres Llorca:
Si pierdo la memoria que pureza

Locust Projects is pleased to present 'Si pierdo la memoria que pureza' an experimental installation by Ruben Torres-Llorca. For this project Torres-Llorca returns to the medium of photography which he has not explored since1989. The imagery in the show reveals the artist's process while resolving work in his studio. This personal documentation is re-confronted by Torres-Llorca with an elaborative approach. This method provides for an entirely new rhetoric.
Torres-Llorca's visual language defines itself through connectivity. He investigates relationships between objects, images and text by using associative potential. Often unique contradictions and paradoxes are created through curious juxtaposition.
Born in Havana Cuba 1957, Torres-Llorca is one of the first generation of artists who left Cuba for Mexico City and in 1993 relocated to Miami.
