About the Artist

Alba Triana is a Colombian-born sound and intermedia artist. Her immersive installations, sound and light sculptures, and vibrational objects explore the essence of the natural world and its manifestation through our human condition. Delving into vibration, energy, interconnectedness, and nature’s self-organization, Triana’s oeuvre probes how the vitality of everything—alive or inert—greatly determines who we are and what we manifest.

Alba has received the Prix Ars Electronica Award of Distinction (AT), CIFO G&C award (US), Civitella Ranieri Fellowship (IT/US), South Arts State Fellowship (FL, US). She has obtained commissions, residences, and grants from Pro Helvetia (CH), Kronos Quartet, Oolite Arts (US), GMEB (FR), and the Ministry of Culture (CO).

Alba’s work has been showcased at Ars Electronica Festival (AT), NEMO—Biennial des Arts Numeriques (FR), ISEA-International Symposium of Electronic Arts (WW), Lowe Art Museum (FL, US), Orange County Museum of Art (CA, US), and Museum of Modern Art of Bogotá (CO). Her oeuvre belongs to art collections like Solo and Otazu (ES), Junco (MX, US), and Banco de la República (CO).
