VR Roller Coaster Basics

In conjunction with LIZN’BOW’s Niñalandia Skycoaster in the project room, join us at The DiLL for a VR Roller Coaster Basics workshop led by artist Arcbo T (Maripussssy) of reggaeton duo Niña. This hands-on presentation introduces artists, creators, and programmers to Blender, a free and open source 3D-modeling program available on all platforms, as well as the Three.js JavaScript library which enables interactive art on the web. Participants are encouraged to install Blender and Three.js in advance of the workshop.

Arcbo T is an investee and member of Bow Ty Enterprises Venture Capital (a.k.a. Bow Ty), a human business conglomerate working with time, care, multiplicity, fear, joy, transformation, and enterprise. Bow Ty is best known for their long-running new media project LIZN’BOW with Liz Ferrer, which critiques American and Latin pop through a queer and comedic lens. Together their work spans multiple mediums with a focus on digital art, tech, music, video, and performance art. Their most recent project together includes femme reggaeton band Niña.

Following the workshop, stick around for an experimental DJ set by Liz Ferrari Ouch inspired by viral internet meme theme songs, sad gatos, and whatever else she feels like playing that day.

Pastelitos, snacks, and  refreshments provided. Free and open to the public!

Presented as part of the Knight Digital Innovation Lab at Locust Projects.
