Ali Subotnick, the Adjunct Curator at the Hammer Museum, Los Angeles, worked to expand the museum’s curatorial and public programs. Subotnick has focused on emerging artists, frequently giving them their first solo museum shows through the “Hammer Projects” series. She has also organized exhibitions with established artists like Jamie Isenstein, Erik van Lieshout, and Kaari Upson.

She was also a curator for “Frieze Projects Los Angeles,” Subotnick has commissioned special projects from artists such as Trulee Hall, Kori Newkirk, and Patrick Jackson, as well as a faculty member at the USC Roski School of Fine Arts, and has contributed to publications such as the Gagosian Quarterly
